MOCK PRESS Competition 2025 - September 30, 2024

On September 30, 2024, the English Association of Peet Memorial Training College, known as LITERATI , hosted the highly anticipated third season of its "Mock Press" competition. Held in the college auditorium under the guidance of convenors Dr. Alie Molly Varghis and Dr. Velayudhan Nair T, the event challenged students to step outside their comfort zones by adopting the personas and mannerisms of various celebrities. This creative exercise aimed to sharpen the participants' improvisational skills, quick-wittedness, and public speaking abilities as they faced a diverse judging panel composed of both faculty members and student representatives. One Day Field Trip 2024 Travelogue

 On September 27, 2024 , the first-semester B.Ed. students embarked on an enriching one-day field trip to Thiruvananthapuram. The journey commenced early at 6:24 am from the college campus, beginning on a spiritual note with a prayer led by Dr. Elizabeth Joshua . Our route took us through Thazhakara, Adoor, and Vamanapuram, with a scheduled breakfast stop at Hotel Bismillah in Nilamel at 8:00 am. This initial leg of the trip set a positive tone for the day, as the group of 45 students and four faculty members —Dr. Mumtas S, Dr. Velayudhan T Nair, Dr. Elizabeth Joshua, and Dr. Renjany—shared a meal before heading toward our first major destination.  On September 25, 2024, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, organized a heartfelt visit to Gandhi Bhavan Snehaveed in Haripad titled "SNEHAKOOTTE." The program began at 10:30 am with a welcoming address by the facility's director, Mr. Shameer Muhammed, who introduced the volunteers to the daily lives of the residents. This was followed by encouraging speeches from the NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Mumtas S, alongside Mr. Biju David and Student Coordinator Arya A.R., setting a compassionate tone for the day's activities.
