SNEHAKOOTTE" Old Age Home Visit

On September 25, 2024, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, organized a heartfelt visit to Gandhi Bhavan Snehaveed in Haripad titled "SNEHAKOOTTE." The program began at 10:30 am with a welcoming address by the facility's director, Mr. Shameer Muhammed, who introduced the volunteers to the daily lives of the residents. This was followed by encouraging speeches from the NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Mumtas S, alongside Mr. Biju David and Student Coordinator Arya A.R., setting a compassionate tone for the day's activities.

To foster a sense of joy and companionship, the NSS volunteers organized a vibrant series of interactive events, including music, mimicry, games, and the sharing of personal stories with the inmates. Beyond the entertainment, the volunteers demonstrated their support by distributing essential goods they had collected specifically for the residents. The visit concluded with a communal lunch where students, officials, and inmates dined together, followed by a unifying inter-faith prayer. The event officially drew to a close at 1:45 pm, marking a successful day of community service and emotional connection.
