Pookatte Kavadi" Onam Celebration 2024

The Peet Memorial Training College in Mavelikara came alive on September 10, 2024, with the vibrant "Pookatte Kavadi" Onam celebration. Organized by the Pravega College Union 2024 in collaboration with the IQAC, the festivities kicked off with the traditional creation of a colorful Attapookalam. The event’s highlights included the "Malayali Manka" and "Kerala Shreeman" beauty contests, showcasing the traditional grace and style of the female and male students, respectively.

The day was filled with energy as students and faculty participated in a variety of spirited games, such as Sundaranu Pottuthodual, the lemon and spoon race, Uriyadi, Pavakka Thinnal, and a highly competitive tug-of-war. A significant highlight of the celebration was the Onam Sadhya, a traditional feast enjoyed by the entire college community, including teachers, non-teaching staff, and students. With high attendance and enthusiastic participation, the programme successfully captured the true spirit of the harvest festival.

On September 30, 2024, the English Association of Peet Memorial Training College, known as LITERATI , hosted the highly anticipated third season of its "Mock Press" competition.
