78th Independence Day Celebration 2024

 On August 15, 2024, Peet Memorial Training College in Mavelikara marked the 78th Independence Day with a series of patriotic events. The celebration commenced at 9:00 AM with the flag hoisting ceremony led by Dr. Alie Molly Verghis. In her keynote address, she highlighted the profound significance of freedom and emphasized the pivotal role educators play in the nation-building process. The morning continued with a variety of spirited competitions designed to honor the occasion, including: Patriotic Song and Group Song performances. A Pencil Drawing competition. An engaging Quiz Competition .

Puthen Prahasanagal" Freshers Day 2024

 On August 7, 2024, the Prevega College Union hosted "Puthen Prahasanagal," a lively Freshers’ Day celebration for the incoming class at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara. Held in the college auditorium, the event was officially inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Alie Molly Verghis. The day was designed to welcome new students through a mix of: Ice-breaking activities and simple tasks to foster new friendships. Cultural programmes showcasing student talent. Interactive sessions involving the entire college community of teachers and students.

Handover of Newspaper and Comic Book Subscriptions to AOMLP School, Mavelikara

 On August 5, 2024, the NSS Unit and Extension Cell of Peet Memorial Training College (PMTC), Mavelikara, demonstrated their commitment to community service by establishing a reading corner at AOMM LPS, Mavelikara. This collaborative initiative, meticulously planned by NSS volunteers, focused on providing the school with regular subscriptions to both newspapers and comic books to encourage literacy. The event was officially inaugurated by the guest of honor, Shri. Varghese Pothen, who opened the reading corner and captivated the young audience with an interactive and lively Q&A session. The program began at 10:30 AM with a prayer song performed by the schoolchildren, followed by a blessing from Rev. C.I. Jose. Following a warm welcome from Senior Assistant Mrs. Ruth George Isaac and an address by the Headmistress, Mrs. Beena A., the formal handover of subscriptions took place. The session, which commenced at 6:30 PM, featured a profound exploration of the history and personal narratives within the field of special education. The discussion was led by Dr. Anu Mukund , a distinguished lecturer in English from the National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) in Thiruvananthapuram. Drawing from her professional expertise, Dr. Mukund provided the audience with an insightful perspective on the evolution of special education, making the session both educational and deeply impactful for all attendees.
