World Environment Day Celebrations 2025: "End Plastic Pollution"

On June 5, 2025, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), conducted a special program at Peet Memorial Training College to observe World Environment Day. The event, which began at 10:00 am, was centered around the critical theme of "End Plastic Pollution."

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Mumtas S., the NSS Unit Programme Officer. During her talk, she detailed the detrimental effects of plastic waste on the global ecosystem and the long-term damage it inflicts on the Earth’s natural health. A key focus of her message was the pivotal role educators play in fostering "civic sense" within the student community. She urged future teachers to become advocates for environmental protection and to lead by example in maintaining sustainable surroundings.
