CUAC General Secretary Visit to Peet Memorial Training College

On February 7, 2025, Peet Memorial Training College welcomed Rev. Richard A. Burnett, General Secretary of the Colleges and Universities of the Anglican Communion (CUAC), accompanied by Mrs. Katherine Burnett. CUAC, an international network established in 1993 at Christ Church College, UK, serves to foster global educational cooperation, cultural understanding, and the exploration of values within church-related higher education.

The visit began at noon with a tour of the college facilities and a reception at the administrative office. The formal session commenced at 12:15 pm with a welcome address by Dr. Sony Mary Varghese. During the event, both Rev. Burnett and Mrs. Burnett addressed the gathering, sharing insights into the mission of the Anglican Communion and its creative potential in serving the world through education.

Following the speeches, the students participated in an interactive session with the guests, providing a platform for dialogue and intercultural exchange. The program was attended by various dignitaries, including officials and parishioners from CSI Christ Church, Mavelikara. To commemorate the visit, the college presented a memento to the guests as a gesture of appreciation. The session concluded at 1:30 pm after a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Velayudhan T. Nair.
